For me the highlight of the episode is probably the 'Grange Hill' netball sequence, which is brilliantly done. Why did they ever change that theme tune anyway?
There's the immortal exchange: Twist: I want you to see me as a whole. Brian. I do. Twist: A whole, Brian, with an 'w'. And then Tim praying to Buffy, and Mike and Tim's good cop/bad cop interrogate of Daisy. ('What!') Any other highlights? |

After the Matrix style entrance, Tim's spring-board jump over the trolley sticks out in my mind as the most memorable bit from this episode - that and Mike eating the coffee . . . Just why was he doing that anyway?

On the commentaries they said that just came up with it on the spot since they thought that Mike needed to be doing something while Tim was grabbing the drawing and that was what they came up with.
So it's more to make Mike seem weird than anything else. I love the Sixth Sense reference since that was the first thing on a Spaced trailer that I saw and made me want to watch the show when it originally aired (having only caught some of the first series). Also Daisy: I put it in a portfolio Tim: WHAT?! Daisy :I put it in your portfolio Tim: WHAT?! ''Mike: (calmly) Did she just say what I think she said? Tim: She said that she put the picture in my portfolio Mike: WHAT?! Great delivery by Nick on that line. This post has been edited by maian: Nov 10 2005, 02:46 PM |

The whole exchange with Tim and Sophie in the office is hilarious - she's clearly secretly pissing herself about the whole thing and quite likes his twittering. Bless.
Sophie: 'It was nice to see you again Tim.' Tim: 'Well you're nice too - it was nice to see you too.' (funny face) Just after that, Tim's response to Sophie asking him out: Sophie: 'Do you want to go out for a drink with me on Friday?' Tim: 'yyyeeaaahhhh...' |

Mike saying "Tim, that girl you fancy's coming in to the office" really audibly over the walkie-talkies in front of Sophie and Tim's resultant expression is a beautifully done little moment from Pegg. rRngs very true and reminds me a bit of that bit from the extended cut scene's of SotD where he tries to cover up his electrical store badge. Toe nail aching embarassment.
