How bloody great is Uncle Peter?

The Top Of The Pops appearance should be on the disc when I finally do it.

After the recent reappraisal Smell Of is much, much better than I remember (first series at least) but still not quite the majesty of Big Night Out which is probably why I never watched Bang Bang. Which I now regret as it's fucking brilliant.

The death eggs... genuine genius.

But Big Night Out and Catterick remain the career highs for me.

So excited! I didn't even know they did a 2008 Christmas special, I must have been in Australia when it was being promoted.

I'm more or less the same. The special was okay, but not on a par with the previous series (a fact only underlined by the documentary they showed beforehand).

However, they might get back into the swing of things with a new series and do something really good.

I found my ticket from the 'Brown Tour' recently. It was in the book 'Prince' by Dave Hill. 20 years ago this year. How time flies. At the end of the gig, he sang 'Dizzy', riding high in the charts at the time. We ran down to the front like we were Justin Bieber fans or something.

I've never forgiven U2 for being the ones to replace Bryan Adams at number one, when it should have been Vic & The Wonderstuff. They were only there for a week, the feckers.
