I can't help but think that Scott should be someone slightly...cooler. I adore Michael Cera, but his characters are always sweet and someone you feel almost sorry for at times, whereas I think Scott needs a more 'excited kid' energy and attractive confidence. Hopefully Cera will pull it off; I have faith.

But it's probably easier to act cocky, excitable and assured than it is likeable and sweet, so as Cera's proved he's able to pull off the latter then hopefully the former should be a doddle. While he's not an immediate best fit, I think he's got the acting chops to take it on. |

In case anyone's interested in the film's development, Bryan Lee O'Malley (the author) has a blog and is currently in LA writing about meetings with Edgar, Universal and Big Talk productions (including piccurs!), over at www.radiomaru.com. Worth a look.
