You like Black Books don't you Em? Similar style of humour and lots of sharp dialogue and physical/sight gags. You should really like it (I hope)

The clips on this night's 'Imagine' gave me really high hopes. Richard Ayodade is a genius so far as comic delivery goes...

... and he still sounds like Adam.

He's easily the funniest in it - tone and delivery. I watched the first episode streamed last night and it is quite funny, but I do really hate laughter tracks, they cheapen everything. Blasphemous as it may seem to some, I never got into Black Books (not that I dislike it, just that I never really watched it), so I can't really draw comparisons, but as Comedy Dave said: "angry shouty Irishman".

It was "filmed in front of a live studio audience", as they say.

The showed it being made on the Imagine documentary last night and filming in front of an audience was just one of the challenges Linehan set himself. He also wanted there to be no swearing, no jokes that only the very computer literate would get and this to be a show that children could enjoy.

He believes the world is a nasty enough place and that we have enough black comedy as it is, he wants this to be "daft".
