Just watching episode 1.1 again and was wondering if there was ever a film where a girl was invited to Istanbul, kept in the house all day by her boyfriend's sisters, made to eat green eggs, watch Turkish TV and who then escaped through a window?

Yes, there is, but for the life of me I can't remember what it is called. I think it was shown on TV in the late eighties or early ninties, may have been earlier than that though.

OK, maybe not an obscure reference in Spaced, but an obscure reference to Spaced. Has anyone seen the video to the new 'Empire of the Sun' single ('We Are The People(?)) - it looks just like an extended Brian and Vulva art movie. Watch it, see if you think the same....

Can someone tell me if the final scene of s2ep1 where Mike is sleeping on the couch, Tim is holding the MP5 and Daisy is holding a flower a reference to anything? It looks like a bit from a Resident Evil game
