Firstly, there isn't one of these is there? I have looked and proved unsuccessful so I'm going with a resounding "No."
There are many of us on this forum who have a soft spot for this particular series, so (despite it having come to an end, at least for th time being) let this be a place where all can come and discuss it. (3rd season spoilers approprately tagged, of course.) I'd like to start by querying GOB being George Oscar Bluth II, Making George Sr George Oscar Bluth I. However, Oscar is, of course, also George's twin's name. Has this been explained in the series and I've just missed it, or is it an in-joke of some description? EDIT: Tsk. First post and a stupid spelling mistake. This post has been edited by PrincessKate: Feb 26 2006, 06:03 PM |

I'd say it's probably something of a reference to John Ellis "Jeb" Bush. |

There's not much finer than GOB performing his magic with 'The Final Countdown' blaring away in the background, unless it's The Fonz as the world's worst lawyer.
Please, please, please let it get picked up again. It's unlikely I'll ever have kids but I'll put any potential first born up for grabs if it willl help. |

And Franklin is delightfully non-PC. "It ain't easy bein' white... It ain't easy bein' brown... All this pressure to be bright... I've got children all over town! Sometimes... Hey, where'd the guy go?"

Arrested Development: Brilliant.
Bateman: HAWT. There's my contribution for the time being, I'm a little fuzzy this afternoon. |

"I should never have given away the animation rights..."
No word on a pick-up yet. But the anticipation is maddening... |

I was already a big fan of Mr. Cross, so I had to give the series a shot. I am glad I did...F'ing Fox.

Got the first series last month after reading the ravings of all the fans on here. Watched the lot in 2 days. Turns out that I had seen it before as well, though not knowing what it was at the time. I thought it was okay then, but now I've seen it all and understand what was going, its one of the funniest shows I've ever seen.
Every episode is pure gold. |

David Cross is truly the man.
'Okay, Lindsay, are you forgetting that I was a professional twice over - an analyst and a therapist. The world's first analrapist.' Call me an old romantic but I really hope George Micheal succeeds in his unnatural cousin lust. |

I have to say that I've only watched three whole episodes. The first was outstanding. I was overjoyed that something could be so funny and have so much brilliant material packed into it, I could hardly believe it. I watched another some time later and found myself confused at the endless relationship to-ing and fro-ing, the voice-over unnecessary and irritating, and the spark seemingly gone. I watched another and had much the same reaction. Am I ill?

Isn't nearly every program about relationships and the ups and downs that go with them? Admittedly, the voice over at times does seem unnecessary, but it does allow the writers to drop in random flash backs and cutaways whenever they like. No bad thing in my book.

I think it's very good, but not the masterpiece it's made out to be by any means. I'll rent the second series and I'm sure enjoy it, but this is never going to reach classic status for me.
On the documentary they said it was 'The Royal Tenenbaums' filmed like 'Cops'... "don't flatter yourself" I thought. The funniest moment of the whole series was Winkler recreating his Fonzie bathroom mirror comb - but then Winkler's usually the highlight of anything he's in. |

From TV Guide:
QUOTE SHOWTIME FOR THE BLUTHS?: Hmm, maybe the fat lady should shut her mouth and take a seat. The New York Post hears brand-new buzz that Showtime has not only picked up Fox's canceled Arrested Development but has ordered a full 26 episodes. I'd feel a little more secure if it were anyone but the Post. And yet..... happy, happy... |
