News from comicbookresources.com that Simon Pegg has been lovingly recreated by Comic Artsist Darick Robertson for a new series called The Boys, which is being written by Garth Ennis and published by Wildstorm comics.
Here is a short outline of what the series is about: QUOTE “The Boys.” Starting in October the monthly series will focus on a world where the government monitors the superhero community and sometimes sends in a team to take them down Simon is "playing" the part, as it where, of a character called Wee Hughie. Pictures and Simons reaction can be found here |

Thanks for posting about the comic! Not a terrible likeness to him either.

Didn't it just?
Two weeks seems like a hell of a long time at the moment. I have this urge to go back and re-read some Preacher volumes while I wait. And I'm annoyed I didn't hit up Darick Robertson at Comic-Con now. Fucksticks. This post has been edited by thirtyhelens: Aug 18 2006, 05:05 PM |

I bought the first issue at Forbidden Planet yesterday (loads left if anyone hasn't got it yet. A mere £2). Not a bad comic at all. Had me laugh out loud a couple of times. Love the additional nods to Simon with the God's Third Leg t-shirt and SotD on the television.
Anyone know when issue 2 will be out in the UK? Wife Of Rolex |
