Yeah, sadly that popped up on Seibertron.com when the board was down. It looks teh awesome, as does the whole film.

Starscream has a voice, finally. It's Charlie Adler, who has voiced loads of stuff, including Cow & Chicken, and Professor Monkey-for-a-Head in Earthworm Jim.

He was also in the original Tranformers movies, as Kranix. Circle of life. The geek in me approves.

Sorry to double post.

Charlie Adler's doing Starscream's voice. He's very experienced, so I reckon that could be a good choice.

Plus, he voiced Kranix in the original movie.

Circle of Life.

You certainly seem excited about this Adler guy, so if you are I'm sure I'll be happy too.

My friend Dave has seen it now. He's been an ultrafan of Transformers for 20 years, and he's also very critical about CGI and modern movies in general. He also hates Bay.

So when he tells me that it's by far and away the best blockbuster summer movie he's seen since T2, I think that means it's going to be pretty damn good.

Okay then, latest word on these advance screenings on the 10th. Apparently there was a mix-up from the distributors end and in fact we may not be showing it where I work. And the same goes for every other cinema in the chain. We get a definitive answer on Tuesday, so check the website then and it should have the complete list of sites showing it, apparently it is more than the 3 currently listed there. Just not sure how many more.

someone from the kfcc boards went to see it in the netherlands;

This morning: Transformers, some early premiere. Lots and lots of geeks, clapping at every fart / thing happening onscreen, but other than that, nice viewing tongue.gif.

Like I suspected, I had absolutely NO feeling that I was watching transformers, but it was a fun movie nontheless. Lots of humor (a bit TOO much for an action movie, one can say, but nice humor none the less, with people like Bernie Mac, John Turturro and that guy from Romeo Must Die etc). Action was a bit hit and miss, with lots of fuzzy, chaotic camera views, making some stuff hard to make out. A bit too much slow mo stuff, but overall pretty entertaining action. But in no way felt it like Transformers.

Transformers brings out the kid in grown ups

And in another story, Tesshô Genda, the Japanese VA who voiced Prime in the Japanese Transformers series, is doing Prime's voice in the Japanese version of the movie. biggrin.gif

Yes, terrorists are responsible for the 80s revival. FFS.

Plus, I don't seem to remember the Cold War as being an amazingly tranquil time, either. Certainly I was scared more by Patrick Allen telling me to bury my loved ones after nuclear war than I am now.

Sure, people didn't worry about terrorist attacks, just Russian nuclear missiles (watch it for the cool TomyTron 3-D graphics).

Yes, and there was no terrorism in the 80s, was there? No IRA bombs or nothing.

In other news: I'm going to see Transformers on Thursday.
