You have just reminded me that I need to buy this. I listened to that when the Guardian streamed it and it sounded like another fine addition to their discography. I did what I've done a lot recently and listened to a few tracks on spotify, to see whether I liked it and I did (I never listen to whole albums before I buy, I like to keep some of it for when I buy it. Yeah I'm odd). Whole album is great. Loved Return To Cookie Mountain and thought Dear Science was pretty good, so I expected to enjoy it anyway. |

Beastie Boys - "Hot Sauce Committee Part Two" Right, that's going to the top of the list of things I need to buy. Sorry Food, you've been bumped. It's super fly. Bought it off the strength of about 5 tracks I listened to on spotify. So far, I concur with Sean. Good stuff. Going to give it a full listen on my way to work tomorrow! Fleet Foxes- Helplessness Blues It is a gorgeous album. Love it love it love it. I've only heard the title track so far, but loved it. I enjoyed the Sun Giant EP and liked their other album, so it'll probably be a worthwhile purchase for me. Might grab it in the next week or two. Beastie Boys - "Hot Sauce Committee Part Two" Fleet Foxes- Helplessness Blues It is a gorgeous album. Love it love it love it. Bought both of these today. I've decided that tomorrow will be Hot Sauce Committe Part Two day, whilst Thursday will be reserved for Helplessness Blues. I also downloaded Dear Science and Nine Types of Light by TV On The Radio from iTunes since I've been listening to them at work a lot recently and, as a rule, whenever that happens I feel that I have to actually put some money down for all that enjoyment. |

Kate Bush's new album Director's Cut.
It really is a completely new album with the songs revamped and altered (sometimes beyond easy recognition). It's like she's doing alternate covers of her own stuff with some quirky, very good things in there. (Pretty sure that was the Megablast riff from Bomb the Bass/Assault on Precinct 13 at the end of her 'And So Is Love') It's a great album with lots of relistening (eh?) appeal. -m0r |
