There should be. Quantum of Solace and Australia are still with me. Adam's royal wedding song is a real earworm - "Oh lovely Katie" Prince of Willies. Heh. I also loved Dr. Buckles' Quantum of Solace song. '...I hear they do big bags of Solace, but I don't want 'em... ' Brilliant. I know what you mean though, Ade, 'Her Maj' does sometimes remind me a bit of a cross between Terry Tibbs and the 'dodgy kid' character. Never fails to lorra lorra amuse though. Their podcasts are still my fave, This post has been edited by melzilla: May 18 2011, 01:21 AM |

They are indeed the bee's knees. And I'm glad of the reminder, I've been neglecting my podcast-ly duties this past couple of weeks - I must catch up. |

Vince decided he wanted to make a podcast about me and my goings on. Here it be. I'm working on getting it listed on iTunes too, but you can download it.
It's amazing narcissism, but I blame Vince. |

I listen to a lot of CBC podcasts - Ideas, Quirks & Quarks, and Rewind are my favourites.

I'd love to listen to more podcasts but I have enough trouble as it is. I only subscribe to 6 - 2 football ones, Adam & Joe, SModcast, Kermode & Mayo and an NFL one - and I seem to perpetually be a couple of weeks behind on at least one of them. What doesn't help (as I posted in the Shopping thread) is that the rubbish EU sound cap on new iPods makes it bloody hard to listen to podcasts on the train without constantly having to pause them as announcements/train brakes/general kerfuffle becomes too noisy to make out what's being said.
Oh and what makes this Guide to Absolutely Everything I've heard about so good? Is it a lolz-cast or what? |

Oh and what makes this Guide to Absolutely Everything I've heard about so good? Is it a lolz-cast or what? It's freakin' hilarious. They're just two late-twenty-somethings living in Brooklyn who record in their basement. The concept is a rival to Wikipedia, A Complete Guide to Everything. Really they just talk for an hour, occasionally touching on the topic. Think Kevin Smith, but when he was young and still funny. They have a very Ben Affleck/Jason Lee in Chasing Amy dynamic. Listen! |

If you like that, you'll love this I suspect.
I got turned onto this when I was asked to host their recent London live show. Which was great because I listened, loved it, booked the show, met them a month later (lovely boys and really grateful), and then got personally thanked on the podcast. Love my job. |
