Isn't the quote,

It's Ride Sally Ride, not Roide Sally Roide.

I was taking the Michael out of his accent thrice there you see, I think the film does it a bit too.

But yes, I'm sure it was written that way smile.gif

I loved the rhythm generated by the dialogue between Pitt & Norton in this movie.
This being just one example...

TYLER
Do you know what a duvet it?

JACK
Comforter.

TYLER
It's a blanket, just a blanket. Now why guys like you and I know what a duvet is? Is this essential to our survival? In the hunter-gathered sense of the word? No. What are we then?

JACK
You know, consumers.

TYLER
Right. We're consumers. We're by-products of a lifestyle obsession. Murder, crime, poverty -- these things don't concern me. What concerns me is celebrity magazines, television with five hundred channels, some guy's name on my underwear. Rogaine, Viagra, Olestra.

JACK
Martha Stewart.

TYLER
Fuck Martha Stewart. Martha's polishes on the brass of the Titanic. It's all going down, man! So fuck off, with your sofa units and your green stripe patterns. I say never be complete. I say stop being perfect. I say let's evolve and let the chips fall where they may. But that's me, I could be wrong, maybe it's a terrible tragedy.

JACK
No, it's just stuff.

TYLER
Well, you did lose a lot of versatile solutions for a modern life.

An obvious one, but "The Force will be with you, always . . ." has - for me - to be at the top of the Star Wars heap of quotes.

One of my favourite lines, from any film, would have to be the one from Raiders of the Lost Ark where Indy is instructing Sallah to organise a boat in Alexandria before he heads off across the desert in pursuit of Nazi scum.

Sallah: And what are you going to do?

Jones: I don't know, I'm making this up as I go . . .

Don't know why, but that simple line always makes me smile!

I could probably quote most of Ghostbusters here as well, but one line a friend and I keep quoting down the pub is Bill Murray's "You're right, no human would ever stack books like that" line (not sure why, there are no books in my local!).

And lastly, Roy Batty's speech at the end of Bladerunner - excellent stuff!

Damn, I really need to watch this.

It's quite good. Not the brilliant film most people say it is but neither is it the pile of shit that Zoe says it is.

The whole exchange between Inigo and the Man in Black before and during the swordfight on top of the cliff is pure gold in my opinion. Especially-

"You seem a decent fellow. I hate to have to kill you."
"You seem a decent fellow, I hate to have to die"

And the whole "I.... am not left handed!!" bit has me in stitches every time.

Indiana Jones Gold....

Marion: He said you were a bum.

Indiana: Aw, he's being generous.

Marion: The most gifted bum he ever trained. You know, he loved you like a son.
Took a hell of a lot for you to alienate him.

Indiana: Not much, just you.

QUOTE
Though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death...

...I shall fear no evil...

...for Thou art with me...

...Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.

Surely goodness and mercy shall
follow me all the days of my life... "

...because I carry a big stick...

...and I'm the meanest motherfucker
in the valley.

If it's wrong to like this film I don't want to be right laugh.gif
