Hot Fuzz Premiere, 13th Feb Options

You were at the Casino Royale premiere?? I was there too! I got there early so I was second row but that quickly became first row when the stars arrived. But yea, the autograph hunters are extremely irritating. You see some of them at EVERY premiere. I have only been to four in my life and I saw some people at three of them.

There was one woman who had her own professional videocamera and was filming them all coming down the carpet.. not autograph hunting or anything, which seemed bizarre.

And some of those autograph hunters STINK. I don't know if they like, live in Leicester Square waiting for premieres or something but it's fucking disgusting. They stink of booze and crap and God knows what else.

One guy at the Casino Royale premiere was so dirty I could smell him from about 5 metres away. He was wandering up and down. He came over to me [and I actually nearly gagged] and he went "look, they've got us all cooped up in pens like animals. It's just one big bloody con, isn't it?" then wandered off.

I failed to see how it was a con, given that we hadn't paid to be there. Nor did I understand why he stood there for about six hours pissing everyone off if he was so vocal about how little he was enjoying himself.

Up the barrier was a really well dressed man with a goatee who seemed to be with his far happier boyfriend. He was muttering cynically, "oh I don't know why I come to these. You just stand around for hours and then something happens."

Erm... yes?

Strange folk.



I always get there early to try to beat those fuckers. If they beat me, fair enough. It's when they push to the front and seem to think they're justified in doing so just because they go to lots of them.

There was a young guy there with long, brown hair who my friend and I chatted with briefly and he seemed cool. Is he from the board? He ran in and pinched a poster quite early on, then later on befriended a couple of girls, I saw him down the barrier.

Anyone who is miffed through lack of signature, just think of this...they just spent months upon months making you a film!.....i'm just happy with that!

i was not at the premiere but for simon to on his own accord send out that email to this site, shows that he actually gives a stuff and thats fantastic to see.
just shows that "stars" are human too when some people seem to think they are simply non stop machines.

I think it's awesome that he sent that, it really shows what a genuinely nice guy he is. I completely melted when I read that, he's so lovely and it's obvious that he really cares about his fans.

Also.. "Tommy C".. I bet "Tommy" came up with that himself...
