Yeah, I really should get them. My bootlegs are rips of those DVDs though, and the quality isn't that much less than them, so I've always been a bit put off. It's one of my favourite TV shows, so I should own them legally.
I need to get the rest of DS9 first though, because I only have seasons 1-3 and I enjoy that show a lot too. I could never get into Voyager, as I hated almost every single character in it. The original series is a classic, but only a handful of episodes were really great, and I think the movies were far better, which I own in an awesome twenty-disc set. Never could get into Enterprise, because it looks so much more futuristic than TOS, despite being a prequel. TNG and DS9 are definitely the best thing about Star Trek, along with the six TOS movies. |

I think it could work. There are two routes they could take, both are cop-outs but both Trek and Who are hardly strangers to those.
-The first possibility is that The Doctor simply goes to the 23rd Century, and the Enterprise and the Federation are there. He meets Picard et al, and the story progresses. -The second is that the TARDIS falls through a wormhole and into the Trek universe (as obviously Who and Trek have very different planets and aliens and don't exist in the same universe), and the Enterprise gets involved and they work together to send him home. It'll be a colossal pile of fanwank and probably an enjoyable, but very stupid, read. In other news, Hasbro has signed a contract to make new Trek toys. No details as to what exactly that means yet. |

In other news, Hasbro has signed a contract to make new Trek toys. No details as to what exactly that means yet. "First up will be a line of premium KRE-O Star Trek building sets that will feature legendary characters and familiar spaceships from the enduring Star Trek franchise. The KRE-O Star Trek sets will feature high-quality KRE-O bricks, as well as new KREON figures in the likeness of popular Trek characters. Further, Hasbro will also offer a line of role-play toys as well as select new figures with which kids and fans can act out fantastical Star Trek adventures of their own imagining." KRE-O is basically LEGO, in the same vein of Mega Bloks and Character Building. "Role-play toys"? Tricorders and phasers! |

It won't? They usually don't (the Star Trek/X-Men crossover was dreadful). Still, as long as someone, somewhere gets to ring some cash out of some rabid fanboys . . . |

I finished watching Enterprise last week; it is a lot better than I remembered it being and a lot better than it is generally given credit for (once you get to about half way through the second season).
It's just a shame the last three episodes were so poor and that they didn't get a full seven season run like the other Treks did. |

Sure it didn't have the creepy womanizing of the original series or the intense political discussions of TNG, but I enjoyed it.
