HOT SOUTHERN HEMPISHERE!! FUZZ in OZ and NZ

Kiwis and Aussies beware!

We are heading your way shortly! Very shortly!

Myself, Simon and Nick get on a plane next week to Wellington for the New Zealand leg of our world press tour.

Look out for us on the radio, TV, signings etc. See local press for details.

Then on Monday 12th March we will be in Sydney for a premiere at the Greater Union Cinema on George Street.

And on Tuesday 13th March we fly to Melbourne for a Q&A at Popcorn Taxi.

I'm floating!!!!!!! hehee!

Strap yourselves in, as this is a long one! As AusChick said, it was an awesome night! The movie was fantastic, as all you UK people know. The whole audience was right into it. There was even applause for over a minute as the credits started rolling at the end! That's pretty enthusiastic for an Aussie crowd, who are usually mostly laid-back.

Afterwards, it just got better & better. There was the interview part first, with some sort of film reviewer asking them questions. Edgar did most of the talking there. Then they opened it up for us. They were all quite good questions, too. Although, Simon did warn everyone not to ask about a 3rd series of Spaced! hehee.

Then it was getting down to the last couple of questions, & I started thinking that none of us Spaced-Outers were going to get a go. Then on the last one, as AC has said, Simon looked at me & pointed at me!!!! (The others told me afterwards that they were all pointing in my direction to draw Simon's attention to me!) I nearly fell off my seat with amazement! I was like, "Me??" & he said, "Yes." Then I looked around & said, "Um, where's a microphone?" (they'd been using them for the other questions); but none seemed to be around, so Nick said, "Just shout it out!" So I said, "Um, hello! Here's my sign" (which is in the group photo below). They laughed & said, "That's a good banner."

For my question, I asked, "With your acting technique, do you draw on your own experiences, especially with the more emotional parts, or do you just go with the moment & imagine it's real?" (Something like that, anyway, I was like a deer in the headlights!) Simon answered first with, "Well, I've never been a cop so I couldn't draw on my experience there! But definitely with Tim in Spaced, I'd just been through a break up & so that was easy to draw on." He said a couple of other things that I don't remember as I was still thinking, "Oh my God! He picked me! Simon's answering my question! Aaarrgghh!" But on the outside, I held my composure. hehee.

Then Nick answered, "When I need to be frightened, I just think of a dead clown. When I need to be hungry, I think of food." Then someone yelled out for a demonstration & Edgar said, "Do frightened" & Nick pulled a scared face. Then he did a hungry one as well. He also said a couple of other things, but I was still shell-shocked on the inside.

Then they finished up & it was announced that they'd be doing signings. So we all raced down to the front & got in line (I got there first as I was a bit excited!) I didn't say much to Edgar & Nick when it was my turn, because there was a guy there saying that only one thing could be signed per person, & he was trying to hurry me along. I think I managed to identify myself to Edgar as dolfyn on the site.

Then I got to Simon. He is such a sweetheart! (They all are, but I got to talk to him the most, & he is my favourite.) He really talked to me & listened to me. He was so lovely. I showed him my Spaced-Outer badge (which Heff made; yay Heff, you rock!) & he asked who I was on the forum. When I told him, he said, "Oh yeah, I've read some of your posts." And I said, "Oh yes, with the many emoticons?" He signed my poster (which the talented Heff had also made) & then I indicated to the others & said, "We Spaced-Outers would like to buy you a drink. We'd like to shout all of you guys a drink." And he said they'd love to, but had another function to go to (he said it so nicely, though). Then I asked him if I could possibly get a picture with him, & he said, "Oh yeah, sure" & actually hopped down off the stage to have a photo with me!!!!! He didn't do that for anyone else, that I saw anyway! For all other photos, all 3 of them stayed seated on the platform & people kind of posed with them. He put his arm around my shoulders & I put my arm around his waist & we had several shots from various cameras. I was mumbling, "Where's my camera?" & he said, "Where's dolfyn's camera?" then asked me, "What's your real name?" & I told him & then said, "And my sister's name is Amber" & he chuckled. Then we had a shot done with my camera, but he said, "That wasn't a good one, take another one!" So we got another one! That whole time he was standing with his arm around me!! (As it turned out, he did have his eyes almost shut in the first one.) So then he said it was nice to meet me, etc & shook my hand & we said out goodbyes.

I floated back to the others. Then I asked Heff if he'd got a poster signed for evilresident101, & he said he hadn't managed to. So, I ran back to the end of the line with a poster to be signed for Goya. Rebus came & stood with me so I wouldn't be lonely. (hehee! Thanx, Rebus.) When I got to Edgar, I got to chat with him a bit more as I was second last in line. I explained about Goya not being able to be there, so he asked her forum name & signed specifically to her! Again, I didn't get to talk to Nick, but this time because some girl had grabbed him & kissed his cheek, which startled him a bit. Then I got to Simon again, & explained about Goya, so he signed & also wrote a little message. Then he pointed at me & said, "Feel the love, yeah?" And I just said, "Yeees!" *quiver* We chatted a little more, then said our good-byes again. He shook my hand again, & even turned & waved one last time. He was so accommodating. He's soooo sweet! I'm hooked for life, now. (Can you tell?)

Then, we were out in the street & saw the guys get into a 4-wheel drive. Nick yelled, "Byyyyyyye!" out the window as they drove off, so we all waved & yelled "bye" back. We then just went to the pub for a quick drink & chat. All you Spaced-Outers who were there; AusChick, Heff, Rebus & Alt, it was so great to meet you all. You guys made the night even better, & none of you were at all stabby!
