But in Raiders, didn't the swordsman shoot first? I seem to recall Indy acted purely in self-defence, like Han in Star Wars...

If by ''shoot'' you mean ''twirled his sword around a bit'' then yes.

I know the scene well.

I also know that Han shot first.

Get out!

I'll have to go with Andy and Glenn on the Avengers bandwagon. Every possible wrong decision wrapped up into 90 neat little minutes. Except for Eddie Izzard and Shaun Ryder hanging out of Minis firing Uzis, that part can stay.

Troy could have been so much better. If you're making a film about an ancient Greek myth, then you've got to include Gods! There's no other historical record available other than the various retellings of the myth so you might as well go the whole hog and include the mystical elements.

That's one of the main reasons why I'm looking forward to seeing 300.

Tell me about it! Also get a British/Irish actor to play Achilles, rather thn someone you've cast for their body. The scene between Pitt and O'Toole is the biggest case I've ever seen of an older acomplished actor coming on to the screen and going "Now watch lad,THIS! is how you play epic myth." and then wiping the floor with him.

Super Mario Bros.

They could have done A LOT better, even though I somewhat enjoyed the movie.

Seeing those two on screen together was a much more interesting struggle between two mismatched opponents than the film itself.

I'd be more interested to see a comedy film about the creation of the game, with Masi Oka as Shigeru Miyamoto...

The levels of geekdom contained in this sentence are mind-boggling. Well done, sir.

Thankyou. I'd also quite like to see "Hideo Kojima's Diary"*, a film about a forty-something game designer who makes a new years resolution that he'll lose weight, give up cigarettes and make a best-selling stealth action game.

*I read that he had a blog in an old OPM2 magazine which is where the idea stemmed from.

Godzilla. Frankly there is a much better Hollywood Godzilla film that can be made. I'm sure of it.

I've got such a good Godzilla related story in my head that would make a good & cheap film, but I can't be arsed to do the research!
