I just discovered they are real, and you can buy them, and they dance like they do in the advert. But they don't look as cool.
KEEPONS!

It's not as cute as the one in the advert.

It's like getting socks as a birthday/Christmas present.

Dear people who work in advertising, please stop using folky cover versions of old songs in adverts. Same goes for choirs. I'm going to stop buying products whose adverts do this from now on.

I know the BT ads have already been criticised to death on here but every time I see the Duran Duran one now the only thing I can think it smells wrong. I mean, it doesn't say "Urban free-wheelers", it says "Sofa masturbaters", you know?

The new Samsung Galaxy III ads, can there really be anyone out there who doesn't think they are for humans? And who do they think they are for if not? Squirrels?!

My current least favourite advert is the strongbow one. It's very Lock, Stock and Chugging on Cock.
And the Asda butcher gives me a bit of a Straw Dogs vibe. Maybe that's what housewives want from the man who gives them their meat. |

The BT ones are still top of the bad pile - wtf is animated synchronised swimming one all about? If it was acted out for real the odious flat owner would be bobbing at the deep end alá Jeremy in Grange Hill.

The new Go Compare adverts really irritate me. I always hate adverts where they know they're being annoying, and then try to make it seem like they're trying to 'stop' the annoying thing. A better way to 'save the nation' from the opera singer would be to simply stop making them, not to try and be self-deprecating about it.
The Christmas Moonpig.com advert did a similar thing, having carol singers sing the jingle and then have the door slammed in their face. I can't quite explain exactly why this kind of advertising annoys me so much, but it does. |
