Here's a thread for all Hot Fuzz DVD related things (obviously).

According to Amazon.co.uk and easyCinema.com the DVD release date for Hot Fuzz is 11 June 2007. Probably subject to change! If that's true then that's 12 weeks today, WOO - HOOO!!!

Not counting down the days or anything ... laugh.gif

A fantastic birthday prezzie indeed. Yay for you, AC! happy.gif

The Melbourne Hot Fuzz launch was like a slightly late 1 year anniversary prezzie for when I joined this forum. A stretch, I know, but I'll take what I can get! tongue.gif

Yeah it's going to be a cool birthday!

Hot Fuzz screening at The Astor on June 6th and then the DVD release on the 11th!
Hooray!

We'll have to have a big blow-out.
Maybe someone can get me a cake in the shape of a type-writer and we can throw it at each other laugh.gif

We don't know if the UK version will be different like Shaun of the Dead was, though.

I will probably get

* UK version - DVD
* US version - DVD
* HD-DVD version - Hot Fuzz
* HD-DVD version - Shaun of the Dead

Universal announced that the HD-DVD versions would be released in July.

Wow frosty, you're keen! happy.gif

Yeah, I found that the Aussie release of SOTD had only 1 commentary & about half the extras, so I ordered mine from the UK instead. wink.gif I'll probably end up doing the same with Hot Fuzz.

Also, please excuse my ignorance (I'm usually on top of these things) but is there much difference between DVD & HD-DVD? I know for the latter HD stands for High Definition, but how much better is it compared to a normal DVD? huh.gif

Not sure.
And do you need to have a proper HD-DVD player to really feel the difference?

Oh god. My bf is going to want one. I can tell already.
