I didn't know it was on so soon. Looking forward to it. I like Sherlock Holmes stuff, though I am ashamed to say I've not read any of the books, I got interested in it after the Jeremy Brett series when I was a kid.

Really should read some of the books someday.

I'm sure with Moffat and Gatiss in charge, it will be great. They're really excited about it at least.

BBC Four tonight, at 9.00pm In Their Own Words: British Novelists looks like it might be pretty good. They are taking the period 1945 to 1969 and featured authors include Tolkien, Golding, Wyndham and Le Carré.

It's also followed by the woeful Howard Keel version of The Day of the Triffids!

It's almost as appalling as the recent BBC version.

Stick with the 1981 BBC adaptation.

Coming this October, Sue Perkin's dressed as Barbara Good from her new series with Giles Coren: Giles and Sue Live the Good Life.

Extended version on Friday!

I caught a little bit during the Corrie ad break. Isn't Matt Smith brilliant?

I liked the vampire fish girl who forgot to be scary and just went with the pouty/sexy look.

One for the Dads, I'll wager.
