Yes, well done to Kenny.

Equally, if not more, deserved.

Well done Armando. He's been part of so much great comedy.

Not sure where to put this, but

Adam Curtis blog - How to kill a rational peasant

it involves Mao Zedong, John F Kennedy, French fascists, the attempted assassination of Charles De Gaulle, and strange Potemkin-style villages in Vietnam where women get pregnant for no discernible reason.

Lovely! My friend Emma, who is an RAF Flight Lieutenant, got a mention in the Queen's honours. Dead impressed with her.

Fantastic mega pixel picture of Bolt crossing the line. Zooming into the crowd, there are a surprising amount of people who weren't watching.

And I can see no sign of any struggle from where the bottle was supposedly thrown.

^ It is a composite shot. As you say there are a lot of people not watching but also there are things like the track side camera being back near the start (which is wasn't in the race!).

I love those super-high resolution photos. It's astonishing that you can zoom in and recognize a face from the other side of the stadium. Well done, science!

MacGyver to Return!

(As a series of Mercedes Benz ads featuring a rather porky RDA!)

Someone's obviously not running around playing solider anymore!

20 years of Fire Walk With Me

On the finale of the tv show "...imagine if Lost had ended with Matthew Fox apparently possessed by the Smoke Monster. The Internet would have gone into core meltdown. People would have rioted. Or started a #TwinPeaksRiot hashtag on Twitter and never actually done anything. But this was TV in 1991. No social-networking platforms, ergo no socially networked outrage. No grassroots #SixSeasonsAndAMovie campaigns, either; no DirecTV reprieves, no IFC or Netflix to bankroll new episodes, no chance of an expanded-universe line of graphic novels starring weirdly drawn approximations of MacLachlan & Co. You kids today, with your entitlement and your recaps and your direct line to Dan Harmon's man-cave you don't know how good you have it."
