If we had an IMAX round here, I'd join up.

I still don't quite understand this, I don't live in harmony with computors/any technology, so getting membership will prove to be more tricky than raising the $$$ AMY XXX This post has been edited by Miss Shazam: Aug 22 2007, 07:28 PM |

QUOTE (edgar wright @ Aug 22 2007, 03:14 PM) No firm details as yet, but a word to the wise. If you're not a member of the BFI, this may be a good time to join as there may be a special SPACED event coming in the next few months and BFI members always get first dibs on tickets... Just so you know. Edgar £5 on it being the announcement of series 3. Joke. |

Well, Spaced was originally recorded on film ... so maybe they've done some sort of blow up to 70mm, to show the series on the big screen.
... That'd be good. What could beat that? ... ooh,... maybe the guys are going to do a live commentary, like they did with Fuzz at the PCC. What else? ... Maybe Edgar's got a contract with the NFT, & he's getting commission for every person he cajoles into joining. This post has been edited by Jon 79: Aug 22 2007, 11:09 PM |

Well I live here and I'm likely to miss out on it myself so you shouldn't feel too bad. If anyone does find themselves with a spare ticket...er...hi there! QUOTE (Starscream`s Ghost @ Aug 22 2007, 06:07 PM) I think it's London IMAX tickets only, which is why I didn't join up last year. The only thing of use to me as a northerner would be the Sight and Sound discount, but I can go to the uni library to read them anyway. *sigh* |

But surely you can get them any time, which means you can just use them when you're in London (which most people are at least once over the course of a year).
Of course everyone should go to the IMAX every time they're in London as a matter of course. The 3D is so f'ing good they have to give you a little talk at the start about feeling faint! Why isn't everything in 3D? Why aren't all screens as big as the IMAX? Why don't I have my own IMAX in my house? Seriously though, you must all go to London occasionally? I manage 4 or 5 times a year from waaaay up here in Nottingham. |
