I'm more of a fan of Crossed than I am of The Walking Dead.
It's like day and night for those who aren't aware. Same basic concept, way, way more grim. -m0r |

There's been more since the original Ennis run. There's Family Values, another called Psychopath, one called Badlands (Ennis takes the reigns here again) and an ongoing free webcomic called Wish You Were Here which will be in print later this year.
They all take place in the same universe but hold consistent within themselves and don't depend on the others in any way. The covers are 'wicked' (I don't use that word in this context often!) and the stories are not for the easily upset. Glad to hear you're a fan too Silky, I'd love to know what Simon Pegg thinks of em'. -m0r |

I've only got the first Ennis TPB. Might have to pick up the others. I don't think I'll ask my nan for them for my birthday.

I've only read the first lot of Crossed (the Ennis ones) and really liked them. I like all the little jabs at people who think they're badasses and would love to see an apocalypse take place as they'd be fine.
Will have to get hold of the other stuff soon I think. And catch up on The Boys. I can't remember the last one of those I read. I think Butcher had just shown up at Mallorys house, possibly to kill him |

Nice. I don't have many superhero ones, mines mostly Fables, Preacher, 100 Bullets and Hellblazer.
I'm surprised you don't have this film though...

I do, actually. The "Batman: DC Comics Premier Movies Collection" contains:
Mystery of the Batwoman, Mask of the Phantasm, Under the Red Hood, Gotham Knight, and Year One. I've got them all on a big shelf along with 6" figures of Space Ghost, Green Lantern, Superman, Joker, Batman, and Robin. That Space Ghost is one of my most prized possessions. They stopped making him ages ago, and he comes with a desk and coffee mug like Coast-to-Coast ![]() Mine doesn't have the transparent hand though, which to be honest I'm pleased with. I just have him standing and with his hands in fists, like the others. This post has been edited by GundamGuy_UK: Jul 27 2012, 05:42 PM |

My next aim is to get more Batman and Crossed and also start on Y The Last Man and the Aliens comics. |

If you want more Batman, what I did was just look at this article and just buy all the ones I liked the sound of. I figured it'd be a good introduction.
If I had money, I would buy all the comics. They're a pretty expensive hobby though, so I've kind of limited myself to Batman and the occasional stand-out series. I want Red Son, because the idea really sounds interesting and I hope it's executed as well as it sounds. It's a "What if?" story, about what if Kel-El's pod had landed on Earth a few hours earlier? He'd have landed in Russia, and become a symbol of socialism and a weapon against America. This post has been edited by GundamGuy_UK: Jul 27 2012, 05:45 PM |
