'Doctor Who' exec Caroline Skinner hints at 'epic' new series.

After seven years I think I'm becoming immune to the "mind blowing" and "epic" comments we inevitably get when someone associated with the shows production talks to a reporter.

Media hype, guess they need to comment a bit when the series isn't back for Spring.

Plus this is the series that leads into the big 50th anniversary year, they might actually throw everything in and provide the epic this time.

Ben Browder cast in series 7 (contains mild spoilers).

Excellent!

Nice.

Something rather different from Whithouse too, it seems.

Mark William's character's name is interesting. If that means what I think it means, then that could be quite amusing.

Some two year-old kid dressed up as the Doctor (all eleven of them).

Good job!

And the winner is . . . Jenna-Louise Coleman - Warning! The article contains spoilers Rory and Amy's departure!

I've never heard of her before, but I suspect that is because I live in a soap-free vacuum.

Will have to wait and see what she is like, but I can't help thinking it is a pity that they've gone with another young girl.

Very much so.

But also this. I really would like to see a sole male companion. Like Constable Reggie in Inspector Spacetime.

Danny Pudi for companion! Or would that be too meta. Having the actor who plays a character that dresses up as the spoof of another character on the show? laugh.gif

You know it! I thought Karen Gillan was my reward for coping with Tate, but it seems Moffatt intends to put some icing on the cake.

I love Jenna. She's like a Disney Princess in real life. Well done to her.

BTW, with Frazier Hines playing Jamie, and now Jenna, Emmerdale has featured two companions.

Eastenders has featured Mary Tamm and Louise Jameson.

Are there any other soap/Dr Who crossovers I've forgotten? (and I'm not counting that Children In Need thing...)
