That's a bit unfair, as much as I haven't been keen on a lot of the concepts RTD has introduced, he did help bring Who in from the wilderness, and fought for that when a lot of people didn't. Perhaps he shouldn't have taken on a lot of the writing himself, as producing and script editing as well as writing might have lessened the quality of some of his stories (Last of the Time Lords, I'm looking at you here). I hope he still writes for Who occasionally, because we may get another Utopia out of him, and that can only be good for the programme. |
