Just watched the episode - it was really superb. Alex Kingston plays a great character, and I'm excited to see if we find out who she is in relation to the Doctor next week. The book intrigues me too - it's a bit like The Time Traveller's Wife, which I love.

Can't wait to see the conclusion!

There were tabloid rumours about who she is.

Methinks she is a future companion, i hope so anyway, maybe Moffat is setting it up for when he is showrunner...

it can be assumed River Song became a companion during the Tenth Doctor's tenure, since she recognised that incarnation of the Doctor as well as having knowledge of Donna and her own Sonic Screwdriver......

Not really, if she is walking around with a copy of his diary (or biography) she could easily have seen pictures of him and read about Donna. I took it, from her comment that his eyes looked so young, that River knows him from a long time in his future.

Bollocks to you, BBC iPlayer. I can't watch it as I'm not in the UK and it doesn't appear to be on YouTube. Help, someone!
