This is really weird, because about six or seven years ago there was a hoax going around (I don't know if it was just locally) that one of the other Blink 182-ers had died in a car crash.

They are. Which sadly means no one can give the reply "no-no nono-no-no, nono-nono..."

Terrible, very very sad and I wish I didn't have to say it but Paul Newman.

We'll always have his salad dressing...

On the other hand, Butch, nooooooo!

On the other hand, he didn't look 83!

That is sad, he was one of my favourite proper movie stars. It's weird that I had dream about him only the other day for no apparent reason.

This is a definite bummer. And my mother will probably be crushed.

That's very sad. A true icon.

I just welled up a bit watching the news.

The only person that can make marriage work is Paul Newman! And Iíve met me; I'm no Paul Newman. I donít race cars! I donít make popcorn! None of my proceeds go to charity.

Obituary

QUOTE
Once asked if he was ever attracted by the beautiful women with whom he worked Newman famously replied, "Why go out for a hamburger when you can have steak at home".

In the truest sense of the word he really was. There aren't many proper iconic living legends of the screen, and now there's one fewer.

Terribly sad, but you have to admire the man's work and how much he had raised for charity.

One of the greats. smile.gif

Indeed.

It's hard to imagine a time when all the legendary actors of the 20th century will no longer be with us... but it's going to happen. (Perhaps a little morbidly) this is what I think about when such an icon dies.

I'm going to watch Torn Curtain tomorrow. I've never seen it before, & it's been sat on my shelf for months.
