Whereas I would go for Far Beyond The Stars.

I'd go with In the Pale Moonlight, but Far Beyond the Stars and The Visitor are right up there as well, as are Valiant, The Siege of AR-558 and Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges.

All top stuff.

Quantum Leap and no Bilko. It makes me ashamed to have eyes.

I think they must have had a promo DVD lying around and needed to fill the 50th slot so just stuck it in. I love Quantum Leap but the episode they picked is a rubbish one.

Someone getting hit in the bollocks is always funny, especially when prefaced with Tim's bedsit line.

Yes, it's funny, but it isn't "the funniest" thing in the show. Amy's point is that the people who think it's the funniest moment, don't have the brains to understand the clever stuff. That would be the McSpaced audience level. rolleyes.gif

Feel the love.

My favourite jokes in 'Spaced' aren't even jokes. One is Reece Shearsmith doing a stupid voice and the other is Reece Shearsmith saying 'their robot' as if it is a joke... The funny thing is, I don't even like Reece Shearsmith.

Reece's character is a creation of evil genius. Both those parts always have me in stitches.

The bollocks gag is also wonderful. There are many gags that are far subtler and are aiming for a different effect, but the placing of it is a perfect example of when to use childish humour.

I think that both Spaced and Doctor Who deserve higher spots but I'm glad to see Buffy made it high up! biggrin.gif

Yeah, while the bollocks gag isn't the best from the show it isn't the worst, I don't know if I'd say it was the funniest moment though. wink.gif

Very good point! I guess by worst I mean least funny, though, again, nothing really comes to mind laugh.gif Though I still don't think the bollocks bit is the best bit from our beloved Spaced. tongue.gif

I can always tell who really "gets" Spaced when I show them the bollocks bit. If they laugh and say something along the lines of "Haha right in the bollocks", I can tell they don't really get it. But if they laugh at the fact that Tim sees it fit to retort against the "bedsit" insult, as opposed to the "cheap porn", I know they really got what was going on there.

On that theory I'm guessing the list authors either don't really get it, or they're trying to appeal to the mainstream audience by saying "HEY LOOK THERE'S BOLLOCKS IN IT! Therefore you should watch it!"

Think Simpsons Film Festival Episode, Man Getting Hit By Football by Hans Moleman.

I disagree with the best episode however, as for me, it should have been Gone as the best episode ever... Just a humble opinion!
