I was happy that the two girls went out in Masterchef. I was worried for a minute that they may have kept one of them in for BBC balance but was glad that the best contestants got through. Mat creeps me out though. Cypriot Chris FTW!

I am putting Dennice's crazed look in her eye down to being a mum of four. But the milliner woman and the 'I make my husband come home with a random assortment of food so I can practise' made me uneasy. I like Mat, I like Chris and I fancy other Chris(topher) but don't think he'll go much further as he does play it safe a little. Mat does make delicious-sounding food. |

Dennice was ridiculously intense and so arrogant. I was glad that despite the judges easing off on their harshness due to her shaking and tears they obviously didn't let it influence their descision. The other woman was shit and had more excuses than she had ingredients in her dishes! BAM! Mat creeps me out if I'm honest although his food does sound spot on. There just isn't anyone particularly spectacular this year although they are all very good. |

There just isn't anyone particularly spectacular this year although they are all very good. They've had some very average editions where an ok chef got through because the others were so mediocre, but equally some weeks where there were some really talented chefs who had to leave because the standard was so high (the week that had Mat and Belinda when her take on a 3 course breakfast where she made her own duck sausage was outstanding but just not outstanding enough). Another food-based programme I'm enjoying is Ramsay's Kitchen Nighmares USA. Well, I say enjoying, it's like Schadenfreude personified. Why do the entrants on the American version seem to have more personal problems than ours? |

One of my mates just started work on a new Ramsay show, travelling around India.
DOLLHOUSE Meh! Not particularly exciting or gripping or especially original. My (usually) Whedon-loving friend at work was deeply unimpressed. I think it's put him off Whedon himself a bit too. He referred to it as something like, 'an hour of Joss fever dream wank fantasy'. Which is a shame. |

Learning to Read...
I stumbled across the excellent Michael Rosen making reading more fun for a bunch of children in Wales last night on BBC Four. It was riveting. Showing my age and showing my chosen profession is the right one I think... |

There is a NEW Libby Kennedy in Neighbours.
They should have just written her out when the original actress got sick, this is ridiculous. |

She lacks the simmering sexual chemistry with Steph. Some parts are funny - like Susan doing a voicover as the title music fades away. Tonight, Libby Kennedy will be played by [insert actress name here] Apparently the first episode she showed up in they made sure the initial scene was of her being called 'Mum' by Ben and then answering the phone with "Libby Kennedy speaking". Those crazy antipodeans. This post has been edited by PrincessKate: Feb 18 2009, 06:21 PM |

What happened with Libby Kennedy? Someone please explain. QUOTE (According to Wikipedia) As of Monday 11th of August, Kym Valentine had been forced to pull out of Neighbours as she recovered from a collapsed lung and pneumonia. Valentine took a one month break to regain her health. Michala Banas took over filming the role of Libby Kennedy on Neighbours. This recast reunited Michala with Brett Tucker, who plays Daniel, Libby's fiancée. Michala and Brett have previously worked together for four years on McLeod's Daughters. Valentine has played the role of Libby for over 11 years and says that:
"It is like handing over a child to be looked after by somebody else." |
