Another great episode of The Wire tonight. I'm already loving Prezbylewski's arc for the season and the way it already seems to suggest that the violence and crime of Baltimore is so endemic that it permeates the school system. The last scene was particularly shocking.

QUOTE (Raven @ May 6 2008, 12:25 AM) You know I never found it funny once, no tell a lie, I laughed when I saw Meg for the only time she was in it. I do usually love Family Guy and whilst I did enjoy the design staying truthful to SW, the explosions were fab, the comedy there was just boring for me, bit of a let down. |

A lot of work obviously went into to it, and as a recreation of Star Wars it was excellent. But it had 1 laugh maybe at most. Still, funnier than the Stewie Griffith Story. |

Still, funnier than the Stewie Griffith Story. Thats what I mean, the recreation of SW was all there, it looked good it was just let down by the lack of comedy which was a shame because I was expecting a good few laughs. Obviously George Lucas' disapproving voice of authority mustve red penned a load of jokes in it otherwise it couldve been good, personally, just a let down for me. |

Don't get me wrong, I did too, but it was a bit joke-light.
Although 'Aren't you a little fat to be a storm trooper?' 'Well, enjoy rotting in your cell, you stuck up bitch!' Did illicit a big laugh. |

We aren't particular fans of Family Guy in my house. We saw part of Blue Harvest and thought it very funny. Maybe Family Guy fans were (at least subconsciously) expecting something more like Family Guy & this just was another animal completely.

Oh, and is it too nerdy that I was over the moon that they used the original edition explosions for Alderaan and The Death Star, not the jazzed up ones?

I liked it. It was ok.
I liked the Airplane gag during the Tie Fighter battle with the Millennium Falcon. |
