I love this review of 50 Shades of Grey. The gifs are just excellent, as is the phrase count at the end:
"Oh My" - 79 "Crap" - 101 "Jeez" - 82 "Holy (shit/fuck/crap/hell/cow/moses)" - 172 "Whoa" - 13 "Gasp" - 34 "Gasps" - 11 "Sharp Intake of Breath" - 4 "Murmur" - 68 "Murmurs" - 139 "Whisper" - 96 "Whispers" - 103 "Mutter" - 28 "Mutters" - 23 "Fifty" - 16 "Lip" - 71 "Inner goddess" - 58 "Subconscious" - 82 |

The erotic book in The Naked Gun 2 1/2 was better written:
QUOTE "His strong manly hands probed every crevice of her silken femininity, their undulating bodies writhing in sensual rhythm, as he thrust his purple-headed warrior into her quivering mound of love pudding."

I wonder how many extra books Jasper Fforde has sold to idiots? And how confused they are when they read it? Haha, I thought that too. ![]() Fifty Shades of AA I laughed. |

Wow. Wow. Wow. I am the most cynical person around when it comes to the difference between a trailer and a movie, but now more than ever do I really really really really really really really really really want the substance of the film to live up to the style of the trailer.
Cloud Atlas looks absolutely absolutely amazing. Looks. I'm not sure if I should even bother linking to the SIX MINUTE trailer as it's being taken down left, right and centre. But when the studio finally relents then I urge you to watch it. Better yet. Read the book; it changed my life. |

I love the book too. And I don't know how they will make a film of it but I like Joe Wright.
Holy Moley - it looks amazing! Some cast. Ben Whishaw looks perfect! This post has been edited by Serafina_Pekkala: Jul 26 2012, 02:35 PM |

Don't know anything about the book, I'm not sure what to think of the trailer but I kind of like the Wachowskis and really liked Run Lola Run, and that is one impressive cast (more Doona Bae in everything!!!!).

If it is a little bit pretentious and up its own bottom hole, the Wachowskis are probably your men.

Not sure of this has been posted yet, but Man of Steel teaser has been doing the rounds this week and it looks rather good. Seems to be taking a more darker tone like the recent Batman films but that could be Nolan's input as producer.

The thing about Superman is, he's only as good as the story he's in. He's not a very complex character, but he can be in great stories if he's used well.
Zack Snyder is a good director, but he's a very visual-orientated director. This was fine in 300 where there wasn't much plot anyway, it was okay in Watchmen where he just copied the story and it came out like a cover song of the comic, and terrible in Sucker Punch where he tried his own story and it was absolutely shite. Man of Steel will look amazing, that's for sure. But in terms of it being a good film? I honestly don't know. Snyder is passionate, I'll give him that. But he really needs to be with a team who'll lead the film in a good direction. How much input will Nolan actually have? Some 'producers' do almost nothing (Spielberg in Transformers? How much do you think he was actually involved?). My hope is that although Batman is what brings in all the money, Superman is still the symbol of DC Comics, and they won't want him to be in a shit film. I'm kind of excited for Expendables 2 now. It's mostly seeing Arnie in a Smart Car saying "My shoe is bigger than this car." to Bruce Willis.

Gave me goosebumps by the end (I think the music helped those considerably, given my personal predilection to music). Nevertheless, I really like the look of the film from a stylistic point of view, and story-wise too - I've never read the book, but I'm already thinking that perhaps I should. And for those of you interested in such things, that gorgeous song used in the trailer is 'Outro' by M83... Linky Here |
