Ha. All the girl gamers I know are currently playing Call of Duty, Bioshock and Left 4 Dead games. Best friend has a PS3 and only she only really owns Heavy Rain, Silent Hill, and other violent games.

Seeing all these silly Baby and wedding games in GAME/Gamestation for the DS is hilarious.

I'd always thought those games were aimed at young girls, rather than women.

Wow, that's gonna do well... Did they research at all? Most girls who like that sort of thing wouldn't go near a console. Games are for saddos, you see.

Probably, I'm sure they've usually advertised them with women though.

Unless I'm thinking of other games, but I'm sure it's these DS games.

They usually advertise them with women who girls 'look up to' like vapid prick Fearne Cotton don't they?

Should be waiting for me when I get home, although at this stage I'm not expecting to like it so much. However, perhaps this will work in the games favour.

I've been Reading more about the battle system and it actually sounds quite cool.
I've also found it interesting after all of SE's talk of the 2 versions being the same that the PS3 version looks better. DVD limitations are going to become more apparent as time goes on I think.

Oh and also the PS3 version has a code for an in game item for FF XIV with a chance you might get in the closed beta....interesting.

I really like it, the paradigm system (and the crystalarium to specialise in the various roles). It took a few fights to get used to, but once I got it I was all over that shit.

Yeah, but is it just endlessly fighting interspaced with long clips?

I don't find the cutscenes particularly long, but I grew up on Metal Gear Solid, so maybe I'm just used to them.

Hmmm. But if that's all there is to it, that's not what I buy FF for.

Well, we shall see after I give it a spin tonight.

To be honest, I liked XII and everyone else hated it so I'm probably not the best person to ask anyway.

Righto. I only hated it after I had finished tolerating it.

I liked XII for the most part (I thought the licence board was a bit silly and there weren't enough mist moves).

Most of the reviews have said that whilst there are a lot of cutscenes they are shorter than past games. It looked pretty when Hayleigh had it on earlier
