Playing through Mass effect 2 again, is fun. I did go out of my way to make Shepard look as dumb as possible though-

His hair is brilliant.
We should totally have a competition of who can build the dumbest looking Shepherd. |

I've decided that Sheptard is angry with the world for constantly mocking him for looking like such a mong and only trusts his team-mates. As a result I'm taking all of the Paragon choices when it comes to companions and all the Renegade ones when dealing with everyone else. It's working out quite well actually, keeping the two nicely balanced.

![]() I hear cosmetic surgury is addictive. This Shepard knows this. Mass Effect is being made into an anime. Dragon Age is also being made into some sort of one off anime too. I'll be interested to see them though I don't expect much to be added to the over arcing plots of either franchise if previous anime tie ins are anything to go by. Any Zombie fans should check this out:
Bite Me I'm up to episode 5 and it's brilliant. Also for general gaming tom-foolery Sanity Not Included is chucklesome. |

Is anyone else picking up Portal 2 next week? Really looking forward to it as the first is easily in my top 10 games list.
I'm interested to see what Valve are going to do with Steamworks on the PS3 as well (oh and I get a "free" PC copy too If anyones interested the first part of the Portal comic filling in some backstory of the first game and bridging the gap between 1 & 2 is available Here. It's really damn good (their Left4Dead comic was also brilliant). If anyone is getting it for PS3 I'd be up for playing the co-op campaign, PSN ID: Goseki1. |

Second part of Portal comic here
Some more nice little backstory elements and explanation on how the lab has gotten so messed up between the two games. Wonder what Chell's surname is. Lots of people speculating "Freeman" but I don't buy it at all |

Anyone else think that the Sea Of Bahaus in Lost Odyssey looks like a Mario Kart track?

I came here specifically to post about that; beaten to the punch! It is indeed a good deal. Perhaps you'll have a download code sent to you by a mysterious benefactor that happens to be using my email account but is in no way shape or form me... I picked up Just Cause 2, just 'cause. Oh sir, you are too kind! Lending your email account to strangers like that.
Just Cause 2 is incredible fun if you're in the right frame of mind for it (as in looking for great fun rather than deep characterisation and story and anything logical). |

I'm treating it like a giant scavenger hunt with some added gun fights and loving it. The way it rewards general chaos with progression is a nice hook that's kept me hooked for the last three mornings. I really like the way the game lets you know that there's a collectible close by and how scouring cities for that one last building to blow up can take ages but never seems to drag. It's probably because the grappling hook is such incredible fun, I love shooting it to get out of a gun fight then opening the parachute to rain down fire from above.
Also Sega continues to act like fools and alienate their remaining nostalgic fans. It's a shame you've got to go looking in slightly more dodgy places for a copy of Streets of Rage Remake now, it's a staggeringly well put together game that ought to have been snatched up by Sega for release instead of being supressed. |
