I'm glad that there's someone else posting on here that hated Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen as much as Nick & I did.

The Blob
Enjoyable cheese, far from brilliant but a lot better than the original. |

Last House On The Left
Pretty well crafted remake, pretty graphic but not particularly gratuitous per se, and the pacing works very well. My favourite bit was seeing that heads work like eggs in a microwave. |

Metal band who never made it keep trying to make it. Enjoyable although still slightly unbelievable, even though I'm sure it is real. Overall I liked the endless positivity, the older footage and the family dynamics. A good watch. |

Metal - A Headbanger's Journey
After seeing Flight 666 a wee while back I watched this the other night. Made me slightly scared of Norway. Haven't watched all the extras yet but will. Ax |

The Dark Knight - It's the third time I saw it and the first time I couldn't overview all the clear commentary to post-911 America. What a wonderfull movie. It's worth watching several times.
Tranformers - The first half is better than the second. The humor works better than the action plot. Tonight I'll watch the sequel. I hope it won't be crap. Saw III - Still one of my favorite parts of the series. |

I can't tell from adverts whether it's real or fake I think Lips makes it real. His boundlessly positive face sings with honesty. It's the opening talking heads bit that made me question it. Loads of heavy metallers saying how great they were. It seemed a bit like "I love 1983", but without Andrew Collins. |

Transformers - Revenge of the Beef.
As often happens, I came here ready to post my thoughts on the film and realised Ed had already done it for me (and put it far better than I could have). Although it was clearly very visually impressive and action-packed, it all became very old very quickly. The worst case of clock-watching I've had at any film, ever. I think my friend's text message to me half way through the film just about summed it up; QUOTE I wish they'd all just die so I can go home.

Independence Day
I've got a lot of affection for this. The effects look very dated in places, I was watching it in HD which really highlighted some dodgy explosions, but it's still a solid and entertaining bit of fun. The alien designs are still quite cool, too. |
