I've been to ask everywhere that sells DVDs and I can't even find a lick of it on any local websites, where's the New Zealand release of the Spaced DVD set?
I'm not exactly desperate because I've already got the UK one, but all I got when I asked at the shops was a blank stare followed by an utterance of "Space....d?" Anyone else in our area having the same problem? Or does anyone in Auckland know where I could pick it up? Or is there some kind of unforeseen delay? Please don't tell me you bloody Aussies have it and we don't! Lol. Thanks, Gemma |

I haven't had a chance to look for it any shops here yet.
But loads of Aussie DVD websites have had it available for pre-order for quite a while. I guess if you can't find it in any shops there you could get a copy shipped over from Australia. Ezy DVD are usually pretty good. |

Well you should know!
Really though, is there an edition of any of them that you don't have? |

I'm not actually planning to buy the Aussie version because the content is exactly the same as the US release which I already have.

I bought my Region 4 set on Saturday. Woo hoo!
I got it in JB Hi-Fi for $40, & I've also seen it advertised on the ABC Shop website (but for $50). I couldn't find it on the EzyDVD website, but I did find this.... Doug Anthony All Stars - The Unlimited Uncollectible Sterling Deluxe Edition (2 Disc Set). It's available for pre-order now, for a release date of Thursday 6th November, for $34.97. Feel the (Region 4) love. dolfyn. This post has been edited by dolfyn: Oct 6 2008, 02:40 AM |

*double post*
I just discovered a little write-up about the Aussie release of SPACED, in the Home Entertainment section (near the back) of TV Week magazine. Feel the love. dolfyn. This post has been edited by dolfyn: Oct 6 2008, 05:29 AM |

Grrr.
I thought if anyone here would have it, it'd be JB-Hifi, but they don't. Importing is gunna cost me an arm and a leg, and besides, I already spent a lot of money importing the UK version. I was really just looking forward to simply walking into a shop here and seeing it on the shelf. Maybe I'll just keep bugging JB-Hifi until they do something about it. Have you got the Spaced DVD yet? Have you got the Spaced DVD yet? Have you got the Spaced DVD yet? Hehehehe... |

^ Given that it's in all the Australian JB stores - surely an NZ store could order it in for you?
I couldn't find it on the EzyDVD website, but I did find this.... That link I posted to Ezy DVD a few posts ago is a direct link to the Spaced DVD. What actually is that DAAS thing? Is it DAAS Kapital or just clips from Big Gig or what? *ETA* Have done a bit of scouting around and it definitely looks like it's just all the Big Gig clips. Something weird going on there.
When I click the link it takes me to a page which is definitely the Region 4 version. And when I go to their main page and type in "Spaced" in the search field it comes up too. Maybe the site was down or having problems or something when you went there? |

Ok, now it lets me find it on a general search. But it's strange that it has this: PLEASE NOTE: Only TV monitors equipped with NTSC playback facility can replay this DVD in full colour when it says it's Region 4 further down the screen. I don't get it. Feel the (confuzzled) love. dolfyn. |

I assume it's in NTSC because it's based on the US version.
All they've changed from the US is the region encoding. |

Ad for the set on the ABC last night, so if anywhere else runs out, the ABS shops will have. Although, they're usually the first to run out.

Yeah I saw that ad too.
ABC shops tend to be more expensive also. |
