Yeah you can get seasons 1 - 5 so far. I have the first 2 on CD and I downloaded season 3's. I use them a lot for some of the silly videos me and a few mates make Cheers! I'll have to look around for decent prices, or see if they'll do a big boxset of all of them now that the show is done. |

I like the 'some guy' style answers.
Some of the questions are just plain silly - it's a TV show! It's fictional! It's been on for 6 years, continuity will be an issue! Other times things just have to drive the plot, it's good storytelling |

I rather liked some of the blatant reasoning such as:
Why couldn’t Locke talk after the hatch explosion? I mean, dude was just in an explosion. Give him a minute. it's good storytelling Aye, damn straight. Precisely why I've been happy to let more than a few 'anomalies' slide. eta: I've been thinking this week, given the numerous unresolved character back-story elements, that the creators of LOST could easily develop a series of spin-off novels. Given how many such novels have derived from the Star Wars and Star Trek franchises, I reckon there's a wealth of scope what with Lost's already fully-fledged character base. Hell, I'd read 'em. That said, I dare say there'll be a fan-fiction subculture on the interwebs soon enough, if indeed there isn't already. |

It isn't the lack of answers that I don't like. Like I said I admired how so much was kept open and the island was just a giant mcguffin. A lot of people have been saying that Lost was about the characters, if this were true then wouldn't the characters have been more than two dimensional cyphers? This wasn't necessarily a bad thing as the show wasn't about the characters. It was about the narrative. That's what kept people watching for 6 years. Now the thing that bothered me was the importance placed on the sideways device in the final season only for it to be such a hokey damp squib of a cheesy pay off. It really was little more than having half the final season be a dream, which being some kind of communal construct created out of the conscious of the characters' souls is what it was. It wouldn't have been as bad if the pay off had been better than lets all meet up and go to heaven (not the gay club). Then again, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I should have been watching for the characters, but if that was the case I'd have stopped watching a long time ago.

Fair enough.
It's inevitable some people were going to be disappointed with the ending, but I'm glad I'm in the satisfied camp. Buffy, The Sopranos, Six Feet Under and now Lost - all my favourites have done me proud. |

Charlie Brooker's thoughts on Lost Or at least the final episode, after giving up during the first season.

Cool beans. Oh, and while I think of it: I don't know how many (if any) of you occasionally buy the Official Lost Magazine, but I do believe the final issue (a 150-page special no less), is released on 10th August. 108. And five years to the day since Lost first aired on Channel 4, if memory serves, which is nice. Just thought y'all might like to get yo'selves a copy. |

Just thought I'd let you know, 'The New Man In Charge' leaked a few days ago...
I loved it! It gave a few cheeky answers to some long standing fan questions. One of them made me laugh out loud. The Hurley Bird! I really can't wait to see the Lost universe further expanded upon in the future, and this epilogue really opens up that possibility.
