A variation of the old Versus threads.
"Second Division" may not be the fairest term to use for these films but they are the ones that are not generally considered Arnie's real classics. So on this list you'll find no Terminator, Terminator 2, Commando, Predator, Total Recall or True Lies. Also missing are his comedies. And Batman & Robin mainly because it's not really an Arnie vehicle (and I doubt anyone will vote for it). Get voting. |

Last Action Hero gets my vote. I think it's a far better film than it gets credit for.

I honestly don't know whether to vote for Running Man or Last Action Hero. I'll have to think on this one.

Last Action Hero is great fun and much underrated.
I like Running Man a little more though, so I've gone for that. Red Heat would be third. |

I like Running Man and Last Action Hero but I plump for End of Days. It is highly stupid and has Miriam Margoyles as a Satanic nanny and Gabriel Byrne is, like, Lord Sexxydebil*. Plus, Arnold says my actual name a lot and it makes me really laugh. These are very personal reasons.
*nobody else could beat him on sexy-ev0l except, of course, the Dark Lord of the 3 surnames. You know of whom I speak. If you say his name in front of the mirror thricely, he shalt appeareth. |

Is Running Man second division?
It might be in my top 5. So I've voted for that. They're obviously all amazing, but Running man is head and shoulders above the rest. |

Running Man. If only for the fact that Jesse Ventura's hilarious in it.

Definitely Running Man for me. It looks a bit 80's, but it's Paul Verhoven and Philip K Dick... you can't beat that.
+ it has some classic cheesy Bond style quips. ... + it was the first 18 cert movie I ever saw! |

What, no Hercules in New York?
It was a tough call between Running Man, Last Action Hero and Conan the Barbarian but I went for Conan in the end because I thought about the time he says 'Sluts' and have fond memories of arguments about if it has Bolero in it, not that that is a geniune reason why I prefer that film. Conan was one of the first Arnie films I ever seen as a nipper so it has a special place. If I could re-vote I'd probably go with Last Action Hero, though. Maybe. |

I always find it difficult to love Running Man. I enjoy it, it's a fun, camp romp, yet there's always that thought in the back of my mind that by almost ignoring the original book, they wasted a chance to film one of the best action films ever.
I'm torn between Last Action Hero, Red Heat and Eraser. One for fact fans: I heard last week that Christopher Reeve was originally considered for the lead in Running Man. Checking IMDB it seems this is correct. It was also offered to Dolph Lundgren and Swayze before Arnie |

It is a book I need to read, maybe my opinion of the film would change if I read it.
I've never seen any of the Arnie films with 'Red' in the title. I fail as a fan This post has been edited by Atara: Oct 8 2009, 07:13 PM |
