Gatiss talks Series 2 at Kapow! ComicCon (slightly spoilery, I guess) (he also talks a tiny bit about his Doctor Who episode)

He confirms the 3 stories from Series 2 will be adaptations/re-jigged versions of...

The Final Problem

(Spoiler tagged in case you didn't want to know).

Interesting, since The Great Game already used some of that story. Maybe the first episode of season 2 will use aspects of it - maybe with Watson believing that Holmes is dead following their confrontation with Moriarty? - rather than them just reusing the same story twice.

^ Won't read that, in case it's to do with The Final Problem even though I'm already aware of the ending of that story (aghh!) I've read one of them and seen adaptations of the other.

Gatiss has confirmed who's writing each story...

Steven Moffat is writing A Scandal in Bohemia
Mark Gatiss - The Hound of the Baskervilles
Stephen Thompson - The Final Problem

Martin Freeman must be working like a mad thing right now, between this and filming The Hobbit in NZ.

Yeah he's taking a hiatus from NZ for a while until Sherlock's done an dusted. They're now just doing a lot of Hobbit-less bits and piling through a lot of the dwarves' stuff. But yeah he must be a bit knackered.

Interesting. I wonder about the cast. "the woman" for example (meaning Irene Adler). Scandal in Belgravia is a nice change. I assume she will still be an American but maybe not an opera singer from New Jersey.

Woo for Sherlock's 2 BAFTA wins last night.

Most amusing bit? Martin Freeman's face when The Only Way Is Essex won the Youtube audience award (thanks to BBC Comedy on twitter).

Very Tim Canterbury. I'd pull that face too in that situation.

Twitter seems enraged about Michelle Ryan supposedly being cast as Irene Adler

She's not confirmed yet.

I missed the series first time around so I'm glad they're repeating it. My friend says she will cry if I don't like it, so no pressure. laugh.gif
