Re-watched this week's episode and I'm sad that Keith David is unlikely to be in it again. I could listen to him narrate stuff all day. Plus, his delivery of some of the lines as the other characters was great, particularly "Troy said, it was awesome, but also it wasn't?"

So. What did they say?

It said all women are disease ridden so don't do it. That's Cameron's Britain for you.

Blade's secret got a massive lol from me.

Blade is an awesome movie.

Britta was born in the 80s. I'm so old.

As much as I love both of them, I don't really want Annie and Jeff as a couple.

On the other hand, I very much want Troy and Britta as a couple.

And I want Abed comedy album.

Shut up, Leonard! We know they only know your name ironically!

I'm watching Ken Burns' Civil War series at the moment and it really makes me appreciate Pillows and Blankets even more. They really capture the feel perfectly.

I did like the detail that Leonard fought in the Korean War. But on the North Korean side laugh.gif

That was a great detail. My favourite Leonard moment of that episode was probably when he talked about the sound of shit hitting the fan, setting it up for him to blow his customary raspberry, then for it not to occur. Nice subversion of expectations.

Apart from the Dean, I really wasn't feeling the Dreamatorium episode. It wasn't particularly funny and it didn't help that it centred on the two characters I would find the most annoying in real life (although two of the best performers on the show).

I agree that it wasn't especially funny, but I also don't think that it was intended to be one of the funnier episodes. It reminded me of Mixology Certification (the one in the bar) and Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas in that it seemed to be intended as a study of the characters, albeit one that took place in a situation that was way, way crazier than either of those. I liked that the show took Abed's fears seriously and gave him a moment that, for me, worked as an emotional breakthrough for him, especially since the early going had me worried that it was going to be all Inspector Spacetime related which, don't get me wrong, I do like, but which works best as a background detail. I really liked it.

I think it had the reverse effect on me than intended, it put me in the position where I had to decide whether I cared about Abed's emotional state and now I know that I don't, I kind of dislike him now for being a douche. For me the episode is definitely my least favourite since the hiatus, probably of the season and is up there with the family day episode as one of my least favourite of all.

Yes, farewell Starburns. At least you went out in a great episode. Loads and loads and loads of good stuff. Troy & Abed were as wonderful as always, Annie's (not)Courtroom celebration was hilarious, Wire references, tiny but great Britta scene, Fat Neil, Vicki, Quendra, Magnitude. Loved it to bits.

Watch it again just to catch Chang's facial expression as the bailiff in the not-courtroom.
