Hi, I am new here, so apologies for jumping into the discussion. I just saw this thread though, this is my first August without Edinburgh for 5 years, it is very strange not being there. It made me so happy to see you recommending Gentlemen of Leisure and Wittank. I think Nish is brilliant in the Gents, and The Wittank boys are great, Naz is really starting to build a career for himself which is good. I remember being in the Library bar with him a few years back, chatting about shoes for about an hour, it was odd, but fun. They're all lovely chaps.

Hello new person. With comedy choices like that, you'll do fine!
I might go to Humphrey Ker as a Nazi Smasher. Just to make up for missing him on the celebrity wrestling thing as a 70s funk Aryan superman villain called The Vinyl Solution. |

Looking forward to next week.
So far we have tickets to see Humphrey Ker, Piff the Magic Dragon, Thom Tuck and Adam Buxton. Need to book for Ruch Hall and 3 gaga Heads and will probably go see a few free shows like Kunt and the Gang. |

I have heard Totally Tom are really good despite the silly name.
You were spot on about Adam Riches, Z. |

As Nick would say
"YOU'RE WELCOME!" I'm super pleased for him. I still think Adam will win the comedy award, and it's richly deserved. |

Nick has really, scarily straight teeth.
And the beeb have misquoted the joke, as someone pointed out on Chortle. (Should have been "I needed a password with eight characters...") The brief bit of Adam Riches I saw on Three at the Fringe was very good, ditto Sam Simmons. |

Sort of want Thom Tuck to win Newcomer...his show is my favourite I have seen so far. Though Humphrey Ker comes a very close, almost joint first close, second. All of the shows we have seen have been ace, hooray.

I still haven't seen Humph. But having to watch Jungle Book 2 the other weekend was very interesting.
