As a student, I don't get to concerts nearly as often as I'd like.
The last one, however, was Sarah Slean. Let me just say, I had goosebumps. If she ever performs in your area, I HIGHLY recommend getting out to see her. She's brilliant. |

I *think* the last big band I saw was Fear Factory at Portsmouth Pyraminds Centre a few years back. I see local bands quite a bit tho.

LOL, I saw Goldie Lookin' Chain at my Uni last Autumn, they were a laugh! Other than that lots of local indie/rock bands, but that's just local stuff.

Bloc Party last wednesday, absolutely fantastic and well worth the 7 hours i spent waiting outside in the snow (at one point Kele (the lead singer) came out and asked me why i was waiting outside adn said it'd be healthier if i went home and came back, he was dead nice)

Saw The Mars Volta last night who were fucking awesome! I haven't listened to the new album as much as i'd have liked but it didn't really matter. It's not like they're a band to sing along too. I think i'm going to grow an afro.
Went to Snobs afterwards and got thrown out for being a bit exuberant so we went back and had a mammoth tekken session. All in all it was a fantastic night! |

Last night (12th March) Lemon Jelly at the Forum.............. Holy Sheeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaattttt, what a great gig, the visuals and lighting were incredible, Oh Yeah what about the Jelly. Amazing, appearences from the likes of Terri Walker (Make things right), The Scars (The Shouty Track), The shouty track was awesome, real hardcore guitar and percussion and eveyone doing the old devil hand thing (you know that stupid american hand thingy). although the stand out track for me was "nice weather for ducks" with a drum 'n' bass feel and off course "the staunton lick" and "page one" Oh Yeah and how can I forget "Ramblin' man". Great night the Jell are the nuts. I just wish the Shatner could of been there.
Don't really wanna say this but what the hell...... The crowd were really Shit. But that may just be me. |
