the last band i saw were the cardiacs at the astoria, fried gold does not do this band justice. probably the best gig i have ever seen, and totally worth the 8 hours of bus, coach and tube rides.

well my treasured sources have revealed that the new album is FINALLY on its way in feb with a countrywide tour. they played on the 15th (supporting the Wildhearts) and due to cash problems and stupidity i didn't go. so i missed them all hanging out in the bar during the wildhearts set (which is what i would have been doing had i gone) and sarah was there too. sad.gif :'(

Last person I saw was the ever-wonderful Rufus Wainwright, with spectacular sis Martha as support.

Should have been to see Ben Folds in November, but he was ill so postponed the tour - now I have to wait til next summer sad.gif

It'll be worth it though - he's a hero!

HIM at Portsmouth...then The Ramus at the same venue a couple of weeks later!

(Okay please don't rip me to shreds for liking the rasmus!! I care not what anyone else thinks...my opinion and I like them!)

Both were great...although many people have complained about HIM live, saying their hearts are not in it etc, but I thought they played a blinder to be honest!

I'm sorry to say I'm a complete gig-virgin. :'(

My brother has, however, got me a ticket to see Jimmy Eat World in March. smile.gif

Btw, I love Ben Folds Five.

Last gig I saw was the Mad Capsule Markets at the Islington Academy - Japanese dance/metal/surfpunk/jungle/bouncy combo - and they were exceptional. It's the first time I've been at a gig where the mosh pit extends all the way back to the bar. They were brilliant.

The gig before that was Tom Waits. He was cool. Very.
