Psychonauts looks pretty cool. Its a platformer made by the guy who created monkey island. I've played the first level and I was quite impressed. Looks like the story would be good later in the game.

Why, killing spanish villagers which have had strange insects inserted into them and which randomly smash out of their skulls, obviously.

Shadow of the Colossus is the best £30 I have spent in a long, long time. I've been off it for 7 hours and I still keep thinking about how truely awesome (in the dictionary sence, aswell as "cool") it is. And the battle theme is still ringing in my ears.

I beat the first 2 Colossi then turned it off to savour the experience for another day. I've got the next 3 days off and I intend to spend them well tongue.gif

Tim Schafer didn't create The Secret of Monkey Island. That was Ron Gilbert. Schafer was only the programmer and co-writer. Although it was Orson Scott Card who wrote the sword-fight insults...

Schafer was the lead on Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, and Grim Fandango (which is the best adventure game ever made).

I got a demo of that and ICO in the post today, I was going to buy them both anyway but now I get to try them a bit and sample the sheer beauty of them.

On reflection, no.

I did get the Starwars SOTE demo, and it was enjoyable.

I also spent about 6 hours making a one-room adventure. It's woeful.
