I actually quite enjoyed it, loved the thought of them trying to get to grips with the huge ship they were on. I thought Eli was a bit underused (I liked how he was recruited, the idea of putting the "puzzle" in an MMO was cool). Definetely interested in seeing where it goes.

I enjoyed the opening episodes. Definately "darker" than SG-1 - perhaps following BSG?
There are definate parallels between this and the opening eps of Atlantis; the perils of being on Ancient technology - the breeches on the space ship and waining air supply mirror Atlantis being underwater and having to get it to the surface.

Nice little bits of SG humour are still there as well as the heroic military personel and misundertood scientists fighting private deamons.

Hasn't RDA piled on the weight, though? He looked distinctly jowelly!

I've been watching Stargate Universe on Pick over the last few weeks (they are showing two episodes on Saturday evenings and repeating them the following Saturday lunchtime) and I have to say it isn't as bad as I was expecting from the comments made when it first aired.

It's a very slow burner; obviously trying to hard to be the new Galactica and it has had a sense of humour by-pass, but Robert Carlyle is pretty good and the stories are starting to show some promise.

I'm looking forward to see how it unfolds (as far as it got, anyway).
