I don't mean to nag, but please do all come and support live comedy, featuring one of our own members, this Thursday at Kings Place.

It will be brilliant - I guarantee it.

QUOTE (Steve Bennett from off of Chortle)
The world-weary attitude itself is inherently funny – either because you’re in agreement with every word, or because you’re not and you can laugh at his self-imposed intolerance.

There’s usually an elegance in the language he uses to express his tart views describing beautifully how every conversation feels like a repeat; how everything from quantum physics to philosophy is useless, or how his life has been reduced to cleaning up after his pet. Moaning about feral youths drunkenly prowling Britain’s streets of a weekend night in a common theme in comedy, but Dolan is so descriptive, you can almost smell the WKD-coloured vomit.

A night of northern comedy with a difference, hosted by Bethany Black and featuring Barry Dodds, George Cottier, and Michael J Dolan

Oh, I'm on with Steve Hall from We Are Klang next week, look forward to that, I've never seen him. Caught Addy van der Borgh for the first time while at The Stand last week & really enjoyed him too.

Has its advantages sometimes.

I've mentioned it on the 'Weekend' thread already but, y'know, any excuse.

My mum bought tickets for me to see Chris Addison at the Corn Exchange months ago as an early birthday present. A couple of friends who came with me knew about it for just as long, and they told me we were going up their to see some Christmas lights or something. It was the BEST thing that's happened to me all year.

On topic, the show was fantastic. By the end I'd forgotten most of it, obviously. I'm not on critic mode so I haven't got much else to say. What a useless post.

Thought I'd add this here, as it may be of interest to some of you- The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy Live. The radio scripts performed live by the original cast.

Guys & Girls in London. I hereby recommend you catching Bec Hill's Edinburgh preview. Was at one last Saturday & I think you 'd enjoy it. It's based around her fear of crowd interaction, & she's loads of fun.

Bec Hill is More Afraid of You Than You Are of Her
