I think you're thinking of "Secret Squirrel" a BBC film made in 1987. Simon played a down and out mute called Charles Rodin, with Judi Dench as Lady Prudence. Contraversial in its day, it was never repeated but is to be released on DVD mid-January, no word yet on extras.

QUOTE (kiss my empty bag @ Nov 22 2004, 11:09 PM) Well, yes, quite frankly, if you're going round the place requesting complete strangers to plant their cherry lips on your empty bag, I think they have a right to know the source material. I, for one, won't be puckering up unless you can be a little more precise ad-wise. Sorry, but that's the way I am. Was it an ad for Hovis, by any chance? I seem to remember an old man going up a hill with a bicycle and saying when he gets to the top "Eah, lad... kiss my empty bag!" Was that it? Was it Hovis? |

I don't think it was Simon Pegg, can't remember the progs name and can't rem the actors name but I can see him quite distinctly.
I do think Mr Wells you are a Godsend for the board. In fact I've just checked and it was Neil Stuke of Game On fame and it was called TRUST.. It was a great little drama though I remember watching it at the time. This post has been edited by Yellow78: Nov 22 2004, 11:10 PM |
