Kcks Spiderman II to death and pisses on it's grave.
Such a good film, a grown up comic book adaptation that doesn't pander to children or the moronic. I really loved the 'this could be real' aspect of it all. The best of the Batman films and I hope they follow it up quickly. Come everyone, more Sabrina references! I was sorely disapointed by Spiderman II, a secret I have not revealed ever...
But this film kicked arse, it was an authentic comic book film, when I came out of the cinema I said: "Now that was an authentic comic book film." I do repeat myself sometimes. Great film, although the fight scenes could blurry and confusing, much like the fights in Fellowship of the Ring. I really liked the ending, it would be awesome if the next film was based upon The Killing Joke. |

A lot of films seem to be employing that frenetic, blurry camera work when it comes to fight scenes, recently. I think it's supposed to emphasize the fast-paced-ness of the fight. Or something. But it just makes me a wee bit confused and slightly quaesy. |

I can't see Ledger as Joker. I used to like him till he had the stupidest thin mouth alive in Brokeback Mountain. The opposite of Gavin Eslers' unruly mouth - it's like a slit in a cushion.
Normally this would not dictate a movie role but in relation to THE JOKER!!!! I wanted Timothy Olyphant - if you seen Girl Next Door, you'd know why. Sefi x |
