Kcks Spiderman II to death and pisses on it's grave.
Such a good film, a grown up comic book adaptation that doesn't pander to children or the moronic. I really loved the 'this could be real' aspect of it all. The best of the Batman films and I hope they follow it up quickly. Come everyone, more Sabrina references! Or what about Clarissa Explains it all? *Thud* Oh hey Shawn *Boww-wooow* (Meant to be a slide guitar sound) |

It was brilliant, wasn't it? Loved it!
Errr... I'm afraid I can't think of anymore references... Except for when Harvey gets turned into a Pinhead and goes "Mmmm cheese" all the time. |

I was sorely disapointed by Spiderman II, a secret I have not revealed ever...
But this film kicked arse, it was an authentic comic book film, when I came out of the cinema I said: "Now that was an authentic comic book film." I do repeat myself sometimes. Great film, although the fight scenes could blurry and confusing, much like the fights in Fellowship of the Ring. I really liked the ending, it would be awesome if the next film was based upon The Killing Joke. |

That, I'd love like blood, it's something of an obsession. If not, I'd sing a requiem... Oh, the reference fun. I don't think they'll do another Joker one... I won't pretend to be well into the comics, so what're some other "big" badguys that they haven't covered yet? |

A lot of films seem to be employing that frenetic, blurry camera work when it comes to fight scenes, recently. I think it's supposed to emphasize the fast-paced-ness of the fight. Or something. But it just makes me a wee bit confused and slightly quaesy. |

The confirmed title for the new Batman film is The Dark Knight!
And Heath Ledger is confirmed as The Joker! > > > Press Release at Ain't It Cool News So....what do you think? Personally, I'm excited by the prospect already - good choice of title, good choice of villain, and good choice of actor to play him. I'm sure Ledger will be able to pull of a psychotic smile and 'do' evil... This post has been edited by Kick in the Head: Aug 1 2006, 08:01 AM |

Interesting choice to play the Joker - I would have thought Ledger would be too young to play him, though.
Title's good, though. |

I can't see Ledger as Joker. I used to like him till he had the stupidest thin mouth alive in Brokeback Mountain. The opposite of Gavin Eslers' unruly mouth - it's like a slit in a cushion.
Normally this would not dictate a movie role but in relation to THE JOKER!!!! I wanted Timothy Olyphant - if you seen Girl Next Door, you'd know why. Sefi x |

It should be him - in Go he stole the farking show and this kind of performance is needed for The Joker. He can do scary, manic and wild - like he is the child of Beetlejuice and Geena Davis I should be greatful that it is Heath Ledger and not someone worse - the pointless male Shirley Temple known as Ryan Feeeleeepeeee.
