QUOTE (Baz @ Dec 21 2004, 06:32 PM) But she's still fit bird hitting baddies in a film. Just wearing leather and not a swimsuit instead. I'm just looking on the bright side that even if the film is terrible, there's still gonna be some consolation in all those pictures that are gonna be printed in film magazines |

I'm hoping they cast someone who looks like an adult. And not fresh out of some LA high school.
Whedon will probably push for that woman who plays the hooker in Firefly won't he? Although she's not really hard enough. |

I have very little to say on this issue, having already stated my hatred of Buffy, and the cautious sneer pointed towards that Wheldon fella and my X-men in the comic thread elsewhere.
But my Avatar had to be seen in this place......you'd have complained otherwise! |

Hmm. Interesting. But I don't know quite what you'd do with it plot-wise - her background is that she's a magically-empowered Amazon princess, if my understanding of her comic history is correct. Although I suppose that might well lend itself to some sort of Whedon-Buffy-Magicness linkage. Plus these days (certainly in the Justice League cartoon) she flies without the aid of her invisible jet. Oh, and in the comics she also luuurves Superman and has a friendship with Batman. Thinking about it, I don't think there's ever been a big mainstream flick with a DC comics team up, has there? Obviously X-Men did it for Marvel in a big way, but...

She's been through countless revamps. I'm sure they can cobble together the best bits.

Word on the street (or in Total Film) is that Charisma Carpenter is up for the title role. Which when you think about it, she'd be perfect for.

I don't know about that. I never bought her in Angel. She couldn't shake off the shallow stupidity she played so well in Buffy. I would like to see her in that outfit though.

Did you know that the bloke who created Wonder Woman also invented the lie detector? The 'scantily dressed woman tying men up with a rope' thing is rumoured to relate to another of his interests as well...

OK Joss doing wonder woman....he posted a few days ago on whedonesque.com that it was a 'no comment'...in other words maybe
I would totally love to see Charisma Carpenter play the part too (your just like Cordelia from Buffy and then later Angel which was set in LA) Also...Joss has been a busy boy he's finished making Serenity the Universal movie from the cancelled tv show Firefly....it's in post production right now. And the new talk around town is he's being considered to write and direct X Men 3 now THAT would be good!!!!! luvs nix This post has been edited by nixygirl: Feb 1 2005, 02:27 PM |

A few people think that Lucy Lawless would be good for the role, personally I think she's just a bit too mannish.
I've got to agree though that you don't want some of these stick insects to play the role. Imagine though, someone like Briggite Neilsen in her prime playing her. |
