I was shocked and saddened to read your reports of my ubiquity at the London Film Festival and its attendant after-parties. Such whispers of drunkenness and freeloading are deeply hurtful, not to mention hugely exaggerated. Of the five parties mentioned, I attended a mere four of them. I was not present at the 'Brothers Grimm' premiere or after-party. As I was way too hungover.

Do keep up the otherwise excellent work on your fine chronicle of cinema.
