I didn't know exactly where to put this thread, so I thought it might fit in here very well.
Has anyone seen Edgar's first feature? What is it like and where have you seen it? I recently found an online shop from Switzerland which sells VHS copys. Here ya go: http://www.klangundkleid.ch/videokatalog/f...2001-comedy.htm |

I've seen it (well I own it actually!) I got it from here when it use to be Black Star.
It's quite funny in a silly sort of way, I mean, don't expect too much but for what it is I reckon they did a good job. If you like films like 'Airplane' and stuff it's just like that sort of thing except a spaghetti western & more amature & studently. |

I've saw it at work a few month ago. (sky)
*lazily cuts & pastes my small review from elsewhere on the site*: It was excellent! I don't know what edgar's got to be ashamed of. ... well, maybe production values. ... but for no budget, & his mates (probably) for actors, I'd say it was fantastic. In fact, It honestly had as many laughs as Shaun. My only critisism is: for an 80min film, it felt slightly overlong. (it kinda dragged in the 3rd quarter) As a regular spoof movie, I'd give it 8 out of 10. As a student film. It gets a 12 out of 10. (yes I know thats impossible) I can't wait for it to come out on dvd! |

Has anyone seen it? Probably not, but I just found this on google. I'd never seen this pic before:
![]() Spoof spaghetti western directed by Edgar Wright. Premièred Leicester Square, 2/'96. The feature includes a cameo by Jeremy Beadle. This post has been edited by feckless_dykey_prostitute: Dec 15 2005, 09:01 PM |

QUOTE (Ade @ Dec 16 2005, 04:21 PM) Wow, weird. That's like totally trippy man. *Hangs head in shame at bizarre hippy speak* Back to it - Fistful of Fingers, I really want to see it, it was made very near where i live so i'm extra interested. I don't want to buy it on video though. I have heard rumour of a dvd but i don't always believe rumours. |

i finally got to see it tonight, as the flatmate has finally reclaimed his stash of vhs - thought it was jolly good!
it really rattles along, lots of cheap gags, which is clearly a good thing, some commendably atrocious accents, and some pretty darn fine camera shizzle. minor gripe: i was expecting a whole lot more of nicola stapleton unexpected bonus: the twist look forward to the (eventual) dvd release, could do with being made a bit lighter in places, and a bit of a tweak on the audio, mind. |

QUOTE (bristle-krs @ Nov 22 2006, 12:06 AM) Such a good twist... And when Graham shot Jeremy Beadle! And then, "Milky Bars are on me!" I need to watch that again soon. QUOTE (theevilresident101 @ Nov 22 2006, 01:16 AM) EBay is probably the only place you'll find a copy, so keep a look out there. |
