I think if you put anything inbetween 'The' and 'Explosion' you generally get a good name.
The Lynx Explosion The teabag Explosion The Death Explosion The Below Explosion (or: The Explosion Below) The Tongue Explosion et cetera et cetera et cetera... |

It sounds OK to me as a band name, but not as a condition.

At leeds festival 2004, my mate Adam drunkenly called The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster the Eighties Beatbox Plaster Disaster. I think it is a huge improvement on the original name.
The Penis Explosion sounds like some horrible kind of death thrash hardcore metal malarky band. |

I'm not in a band or anything, but I like other peoples music - I tend to 'fiddle' with it. Go here to see what I mean....

Hello.
I am new and this is my first post. I am a DJ (bedroom DJ mainly, sadly) and a musician (Failing to start up a band Here's a link to one of my latest tracks... It's kind of a synth/guitar pop instrumental type thing that is quite dancable. http://s23.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=28EJ7IA...RT0I70I9NWHRIDM I'd love to hear comments (good and bad, though if bad constructively would be nice). I really want to form a band and start putting vocals and real instruments onto my songs, but I just don't know where to look. |

And here I am singing a cold, unrehearsed karaoke version of Gethesemane, from Jesus Christ Superstar, a song I haven't sung in years. My phrasing is a little weird in some parts, and I was fighting saliva the whole time, plus my microphone is crap, but overall it's not terrible for singing something for the first time in a long time without warming up at all.
The song is here |

I've been writing songs ever since I was about 16 but it took me years to find the confidence, time, equipment and skill to turn them into something sharable. A few years ago a friend of mine Mike showed me how you can record with a PC and he helped me produce a CD. I called the project 'Resolution' because i made a drunken New Years resolution to actually do something with the songs I'd written and that name has kind of stuck. I've since set up a PC based recording room at home (that proabably sounds a lot grander than it is!) and hae spend the last 12 months or so recording some new tracks.
I've set up a myspace page if anyone fancies a listen. I'd be very grateful for any feedback! Resolution Songs Ben. |
