I'm going to nudge this over to Media as it's not about Spaced any more it seems.

I think Shenmue sucks, actually.

Slow, lame, and not fun period.

"How about a game of Lucky Hit?"

Maybe next time, Ryo.

I got a dreamcast with Shenmue 1 & 2 for an extra christmas present cause I was getting tired of my PS2 and my friend has them and still plays them, I think the series is awesome especially the 70 man battle, some kick ass kung foo beatch.

Yes it was awesome, but I don't want to trudge through slow monotonous dialogue and unfun tasks just to get there.

FACT
There are only 4 poeple in Northern Ireland who enjoyed Shenmue; the rest hated it but appreciated Jet Set Radio

Ah ha, so you you are the mysterious 4th Shenmue lover. My two friends and I have been awaiting this day. Let us rejoice and celebrate by buying small plastic capsule toys and turning them over in our hands!

I love my dreamcast.

I liked Jet Set Radio as well, what's wrong with that? If you're implying anything, anyway.

Jet Set Radio FUTURE (Xbox) on the other hand...sucked.

I used to like my amiga 1200, i mean say, zool, oscar, etc....i also loved my sega mega drive and master system and liked my amstrad ecept for the fact games took forever to load, then it was pc, and a playstation. I have no money for all that new stuff sad.gif , but ps2 is really quite good.

Or by practicising deadly martial arts moves in a deserted car park WITHOUT having MI5 come down on youe like a ton of hot bricks

Oh and why not have a live in nanny-Thing (what the hell was Ine-san?! Sausage warmer for Hazuki?! Usually you leave it a couple of decades before 'moving on' from a dead wife!) who bitches about you coming home late at 11.....

Ine-san: I was so worried Ryo...

Ine-San was the hazuki slave...

And Jet Set Radio was cool, i always enjoyed it, although I always wished it had the trick freedom of tony hawks, rather than doing an auto trick all the time.

Yeah Tony Hawk's gameplay is f-in good especially in THUG 2, if they were to transfer over the gameplay of THUG 2 into THUG 1 it would make the best Hawk game ever. The story of 2 sucked i hated all that jackass type stuff I prefered the career as a pro idea of 1. oop sorry back to Dreamcast, does anyone know if the sonic adventure series is any good? thinking of getting one of them.

I'm not sure if I really enjoyed Shenmue at the time but I certainly look back on it fondly. It had some beautiful moments. I feel like I genuinely lived in that town for a bit.

I just got Ryo to spend all his money on Space Harrier. \\I can't be arsed to finish Shenmue 2. Ryo spends all his time working. Where's the fun in that?

Another good Dreamcast game was Skies of Arcadia. Apparently the Gamecube updates music was horrible compared to the Dreamcasts.
